As a convenience to patients and their families, we offer online benefits verification.

WHAT IF I AM UNSURE IF MY CHILD NEEDS THERAPY SERVICES OR AN EVALUATION?
Play on Speech offers free consultations by appointment.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR SERVICES?
Play on Speech accepts all major credit cards, check, Paypal, or cash.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN MY CHILD HAS AN EVALUATION?
An evaluation allows a speech therapist the opportunity to assess your child’s development. This assessment may include a standardized test, observation through play, medical history information, and/or parent report. In most cases, it includes all four. Through the evaluation, it will be determined if treatment is necessary. Treatment at Play on Speech cannot be initiated unless an evaluation has been completed.
DO YOU OFFER FINANCING OPTIONS?
Enter your answer here. Be thoughtful, write clearly and concisely, and consider adding written as well as visual examples. Go over what you’ve written to make sure that if it was the first time you were visiting the site, you’d understand your answer.
DO YOU OFFER SCREENINGS?
Play on Speech is available to provide FREE screenings to children at daycare centers, private schools, religious preschool programs or through Teletherapy. Screenings are abbreviated evaluations to determine if a child could benefit from further evaluation or if a child’s level of performance is age appropriate and no further evaluation is needed. Screenings are available to assess speech development, language development and feeding development. If your child is found to have mild difficulties yet a full evaluation is not recommended, home programming ideas will be discussed so parents can facilitate these skills at home. If an area of concern is identified, a full evaluation will be recommended.
IS THERE ANY PAPERWORK I NEED TO FILL OUT PRIOR TO AN EVALUATION?
Yes. Please follow this link, where you will find a checklist of the documents that Kid’s Creek Therapy needs to be completed prior to your child’s evaluation. It includes a case history form that gives us the background information pertinent to your child’s development. We ask that all requested paperwork be completed in full and returned to us five days prior to your first appointment. If there is a delay in filling out the paperwork, your appointment may have to be rescheduled to a more convenient time.
WHAT AGES OF PATIENTS DO YOU SEE?
We provide pediatric services for children from birth to teen (usually between 13-18 years old).
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN WITH AUTISM?
Yes. Play on Speech believes that a collaborative and multidisciplinary effort between the child, his/her family and his/her other support networks help to achieve results and reach the highest level of success. Not all therapy companies provide the same level of treatment experience for children with autism. We have committed to providing our staff with extended continuing education and ongoing training opportunities related to autism treatment. Treatment of children with autism and working closely with their families is one of our specialties.
DO YOU INVOLVE PARENTS IN THE TREATMENT PROCESS?
Yes. Parents are a very important part of treatment at Play on Speech. Parents are often invited into the treatment session to observe therapy if the situation is appropriate, and parent education is an integral part of every therapy session. Each session is designed to allow time for the parent and therapist to discuss progress and what was done during the therapy session. Home programs are provided to the parent to increase carryover in all settings and help the child be more successful in reaching their goals.
